2. Finding employment or volunteer opportunities where there are large amounts of Spanish speaking people. This will give you lots of opportunity to practice your skills and learn from others without having to leave the country.
3. Atten a church service that’s in Spanish.. This is another opportunity to improve comprehension if you happen to live in an area that has a large Spanish speaking population.
4. Read Spanish comics, books and magazines. This also gives you lots of real world practice learning how to understand written Spanish and Vocabulary.
5. Watch lots of Spanish, movies, videos or television. Watching and listening to people speak Spanish helps you learn phrasing and will improve your comprehension of the language. It’s best to watch movies with English subtitles so you comprehend more at the begginning.
6. Sing Spanish songs. Look for Spanish music and get the lyrics to it. Learning Spanish by singing along is not only fun, but will improve your pronunciation and retention of words
7. Find a friend who speaks Spanish. A fun way to get lots of practice learning Spanish is to find someone to talk to either online or at a local college and trade English lessons for Spanish. This is valuable experience and also lets you help someone else out at the same time.
The best way to learn Spanish is the way that works for you. If you take a basic course in Spanish and combine it with some of the suggestions listed above you will be getting fluent in Spanish faster than you can imagine.
